Garner Farms Board Meeting Minutes

Call to Order 7:15 pm

1. Committee Reports:
Treasurer - Report not given as Gary was absent.
Architectural Control - discussion as to who was the members of the committee (Jamie Wardlow, Gary Gusse, Helen Schiltz, and Dennis McCarthy). Asked that a reminder be placed in the newsletter in regards to obtaining project approval.
Publications -
Quarterly Newsletters - Ben will write a newsletter and mail it within a week or two.
Directory - Board decided to wait until this summer to create a new directory and we will mail it with the new due forms.

2. Projects In the Works:
· Jamie will contact landscapers to get quotes to clean up/spruce up the front entrance to Garner Farms. This will include fixing the rock, and planting flowers/shrubs to add color. He will contact the members of the board individually for approval instead of waiting until the next meeting.
· Dennis will obtain a quote for laying rock in the Outlot for erosion control.

3. Annual Meeting
The GF Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 20 at 7 pm in Dennis McCarthy’s lot. Everyone is to bring lawn chairs.
Future By-Law Amendments that require an association vote:
· Add: Hire a public accountant to audit the association financials every three years.
· Allow for reduced association fees for board volunteers as an incentive for participation.
· How to spend association money? Annual Picnic? Decorate for veterans on Fourth of July and Veteran’s Day, Christmas lights, etc.
· Should we lower our association dues?

4. Spring Garage Sale, May 16
GF will sponsor the spring garage sale on May 16 and Kristin will place the ad in the newspaper. Kristin will also contact a sign company about getting new signs created which are stronger than our old ones (that are damaged).

5. The board has opted not to pursue a Garner Farms Neighborhood Watch as member participation in other events is sparse.
